LINGUO-MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR DETECTION AND CORRECTION OF PUNCTUATION ERRORS IN DECLARATIVE SENTENCES OF THE UZBEK LANGUAGE

Abstract

This article addresses the problem of detecting and automatically correcting punctuation errors occurring in declarative sentences of the Uzbek language, particularly issues related to the incorrect use or omission of the period at the end of a sentence. A linguo-mathematical model has been developed for both simple and complex declarative sentences. Based on this model, the UZMORF morphological analyzer and rule-based parsing algorithms are employed to automatically correct the use of the period. Since non-compliance with punctuation rules negatively affects the accurate comprehension of text meaning, identifying the final punctuation mark in declarative sentences is considered a relevant task in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm ensures high accuracy in detecting period-related errors in declarative sentences
