PROBLEMS OF ONION DIGGING AND THEIR SOLUTIONS IN UZBEKISTAN

The article presents the results of studies on the onion digger under conditions of low soil moisture. The main problems of mechanized onion harvesting and ways to solve them in the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan are shown. An improved design of a universal digger has been developed, which reduces energy consumption, increases reliability, and improves the quality of harvesting. The use of a new digging device ensures effective separation of onions from the soil, reduces crop losses, and decreases labor costs during harvesting.
