This article extensively covers the role of environmental factors in the occurrence of road accidents. It also analyzes how climatic conditions, visibility, road surface conditions and other natural factors affect the occurrence of road accidents. Negative environmental factors slow down the reaction of drivers, reduce road safety and increase the risk of road accidents. Therefore, the need to strengthen safety measures in the transport sector and take into account environmental conditions is emphasized.
