Abstract

This study investigates the dynamics of crushed material movement within the mill’s working chamber and its impact on the wear of critical components in mining and grinding machines. Understanding flow behavior and particle interactions under operating conditions is essential for enhancing equipment longevity and process efficiency. Using a combination of modeling methods and experimental observations, we analyze the trajectories, velocities, and collision patterns of crushed material. Special focus is given to how these factors influence wear mechanisms such as abrasion, impact, and fatigue of liners. The results identify specific motion zones within the mill that correlate with areas of high wear, providing insights for optimizing design parameters and material selection. This research supports the development of more wear-resistant mill components and extends the service life of grinding equipment in the mining industry.
