Abstract

This article examines methods of mathematical modeling and numerical solution using implicit finite-difference schemes to study the effects of wells in multi-layered aquifer systems. The system of coupled differential equations arising from well operation in a two-layer aquifer system is discretized using implicit finite-difference schemes, and numerical solution algorithms are analyzed.
