The main objective of this work is to assess the dynamics of the water balance in the Aral Sea basin using the GRACE global database and the Humphrey model and to determine the impact of climate and human factors on it, as well as to test the Humphrey model in the Aral Sea basin. This scientific work can be used as a methodological guide in determining the changes in the water resource balance and the drought index in subtropical regions. In addition, the results of this research can serve as a recommendation for developing water allocation policies.
